I knew that this time was coming, I just didn't think that it would get here so fast. On Monday, Jimmy goes back to the doctor and we fully expect for him to be released to go back to work. In March, Jimmy had knee surgery to repair a plica band that was damaged due to a fall at work. He has been home with us since March 15th.
We are going to miss him so much. Working third shift, we don't really get a chance to see him except for the weekends, and in the summer, they are so busy at Pepsi that he can work 7 days a week. :(
I know that the kids are going to have to get used to him not being with us everyday. They have loved having him home! In the evenings before dinner (and after homework), we would all go outside and the kids would ride their bikes. We have been able to sit down every night and eat dinner as a family and that has been so special. Also, Jimmy and I had gotten into the habit of having a date night every week (usually Friday night)! Those times will be missed :(
We are still going to try to continue to do these things as often as possible (schedule permitting)!
For those of you who have a significant other who works during the day and can be home with you in the evenings, enjoy spending those moments together as a family!
